Education:
· Recent or upcoming completion of an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering undergraduate or graduate program (other related engineering majors will be considered)
· A strong interest in the construction process, specifically design/build, tilt-up concrete, industrial builds, etc.
· Previous experience in construction preferred, but not required
· GPA 3.0 or higher preferred, but not required
· Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project
· Excellent verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic
· Lead Every Facet of the Project – Take ownership of project success from start to finish, including estimating, scheduling, quality control, billing, design coordination, cost tracking, safety, and proposal development.
· Deliver Accurate, Impactful Estimates – Prepare detailed, reliable project estimates that lay the foundation for successful execution.
· Collaborate on Vision and Innovation – Work closely with clients and design teams to shape preliminary concepts into high-impact, buildable solutions.
· Influence the Big Picture – Participate in proposal meetings, helping to refine scope, reduce costs, and offer value-driven engineering insights.
· Select the Best to Build the Best – Lead subcontractor selection and buyout, ensuring top-tier talent and cost-effective partnerships.

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
This position requires organization, focus, and a drive to succeed. We’re looking for growth with traditional values. For the role of Construction/Design Build Project Manager, we must align with these values. Here are the core functions of your role:
- Job Site Meetings as needed and review project plans per project SOW and spec.
- Coordinating multiple crews at 3-5 jobs simultaneously.
- Multi month jobs requiring special attention and higher work loads.
- Close files/complete jobs on multiple projects at the same time.
Must be proficient in reading blueprints. Must be able to clearly communication with the ability to give direction without hogging the ball from the team. Highly skillful leaders not flashy ball hogs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing job crew times in and out.
- Meet labor production goals.
- Demand quality over quantity with an emphasis on urgency.
- Monitor field crew, cell phone and electronic usage during work hours, vehicles, and job sites.
- Job site, in house facility safety, and association meetings.
- Procure materials for jobs per inventory management, company objectives.
- Manage start and stop dates for projects, manage project costs, labor costs, and profitable material dealer relationships.
- Understand the basics of profit and loss statements and Job Costing as a strategy to bonus and success.
- Work with project team to ensure timely completion and accuracy of project information and targets
- Organize and participate in project meetings with staff, owners, architects, and trade partners
- Prepare contracts and change orders to limit expenses and lock in rates in favor of our organization.
- Prepare and communicate monthly variance cost/budget reports to the management team.
- Provide oversight for all phases of construction, including safety, staffing, and ensuring contract documents are being followed and work is on schedule and within budget.
- Foster strong partnership with ownership to help us continue to build repeat customers.
- Produce and assist in close-out documentation daily.
- Fixed and variable Inventory tracking and ordering.
- Competently manage various construction management software platforms. (Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project)
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Have a strong understanding of ground up construction and large scale building systems
Able to read civil engineering blueprints, specs, and bid tabulations, if needed.
- Visionary leadership qualities rooted in coachable, traditional values based on listening first and acting decisively fast.
- A smarter and harder work ethic than the other guy/gal.
- Communication without story telling or ball hogging. Able to get to the point.
- Constantly exhibits desire to take responsibility for project results.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in the multifamily and commercial construction industries, preferred.
- Successfully managed multiple projects to completion with values ranging from $10,000,000 to $49,000,000 ‘ BENEFITS & PERKS
