For the role of project manager we want someone that believes the same thing we do. In this role you’ll touch many departments and influence cash flow. That looks like this:
- Job Site Meetings as needed and review project plans per project SOW and spec.
- Coordinating multiple crews at 3-5 jobs simultaneously.
- Multi month jobs requiring special attention and higher work loads.
- Close files/complete jobs on multiple projects at the same time.
- Quality control with post job checklists and photo documentation.
- Customer relations involving project owners, engineers, managers, and other subcontractors.
- Job site and office risk management tended to respectfully to encourage a work harder and smarter culture.
- Material take offs.
- Submittal processing and detailed review with duel sign authority, if implemented.
- Billing related to materials, material dealer purchases, job assignments, and job costing.
- Complex problem solving including inner company meetings with co workers.
Must be proficient in reading blueprints. Must be able to clearly communication with the ability to give direction without an elaborate explanation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing job crew times in and out.
- Meet labor production goals.
- Demand quality over quantity with an emphasis on urgency.
- Monitor field crew, cell phone and electronic usage during work hours, vehicles, and job sites.
- Job site and in house facility safety meetings i.e. toolbox talks.
- Create solutions based on observed opportunities. For example, positively leading another team member that just received a safety warning for bad work quality.
- Procure materials for jobs per inventory management, company objectives.
- Manage start and stop dates for projects, manage project costs, labor costs, and material dealer relationships.
- Understand the basics of profit and loss statements and Job Costing
- Competently manage various construction management software platforms. (Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project)
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Have a strong understanding of plumbing systems (waste, water, vents, gas)
- Able to read mechanical/plumbing blueprints, specs, and bid tabulations, if needed.
-Razor sharp with local plumbing code and inspectors (IPC, UPC, etc.)
- Visionary leadership qualities rooted in coachable, traditional values based on listening first and acting decisively fast.
- A smarter and harder work ethic than the other guy/gal.
- Communication without story telling or ball hogging. Able to get to the point.
- Constantly exhibits the ability to close commercial jobs on time.
- Constantly exhibits desire to take responsibility for project results.
